Alicante is near of Benidorm, a half hour, and Alicante celebrates Hogueras for several days (until 24), the great tribute to the fire, similar to the Fallas in Valencia: the enormous figures of cardboard and wood burning in the night San Juan. Fire and fun!
In the morning the bands, the 'beauty of fire' walk through neighborhoods, in what is known as the 'Awakening', a form of human alarm clock.From day 25 to 29, is celebrated on the beach Postiguet the fireworks competition, while the old town comes alive with medieval market and its various shows.
